The New York Yankees made another trade, this one on Monday afternoon, this one sending a veteran away from the Bronx.
They've sent Carlos Carrasco to the Atlanta Braves.
According to MLB.com's Mark Feinsand, the return will either be cash considerations or a player to be named later.
This feels mostly like Atlanta adding some pitching depth to use down the stretch. The Braves' entire opening day starting rotation is on the injured list.
The Yankees didn't need Carrasco. He's in the minor leagues and off the 40-man roster.

Carrasco was once an MLB star during his Cleveland days, but those are a long time ago.
Now, the 38-year old had grinded his way to a 5.91 ERA in his MLB action this season.
The good news for Carrasco is he should see an MLB mound again thanks to this deal. The bad news is that it'll come for an Atlanta team firmly out of the playoff race.
The Yankees still have more to do. This move will quickly slide into the shadows of whatever still seems to be coming next.
