Sitting atop the AL East, the New York Yankees are likely eyeing some additions at this year's MLB trade deadline. There are a few clear positions this team could use.
Third base, shortstop, catcher, and bullpen are the Yankees' top needs this summer. Of these four, reliever help might be the most challenging to find.
Fortunately, the Yankees have a familiar trade partner they can link up with again in the Colorado Rockies, as 2.13 ERA breakout reliever Antonio Senzatela was recently linked as a trade option by Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller.
Yankees linked to another trade with Rockies, this time for Antonio Senzatela
"The Yankees could also call up Colorado again," Miller writes. "Now, one of Colorado's most coveted trade assets is Antonio Senzatela, who struggled for years as a starter, but he is thriving as a reliever this year."
With the Rockies still one of the most likely sellers at the 2026 MLB trade deadline, Senzatela, the 2.13 ERA reliever who is in the final year of his current deal, would make a ton of sense for the Yankees to add this summer.
Since the Yankees need more reliever help, the right-handed veteran from the Rockies would be a very realistic trade target for Brian Cashman and company.

He's under contract on a five-year, $50.5 million deal with a 2027 club option. He isn't too expensive, and might not cost too much in a trade either, with his shaky history as a starter.
But, adding Senzatela, and given his 8-0 record with a 2.13 ERA in 23 appearances across 42.1 innings with 35 strikeouts and a 227 ERA+ would be very appealing.
He also has a 3.36 FIP and 1.016 WHIP, both of which are perfectly fine figures, and should improve after leaving Coors Field in Colorado for a better pitching environment in New York.
While the Yankees' additions from the Rockies last year in Ryan McMahon and Jake Bird didn't exactly go to plan, they would be a nice trade partner to link up with once again to improve their bullpen this summer.
