Yankees' Jazz Chisholm's delayed home run trot was well deserved

The New York Yankees had another classic game against the Texas Rangers on Tuesday. In a week that has been marked by grief and remembrance of their legendary broadcaster, John Sterling, the Bronx Bombers are doing their part to win baseball games.

This one came down to a solo shot in sixth-inning to make the difference. In the 7-4 victory to give the Yankees a 25-11 record, Jazz Chisholm launched a tie-breaking home run to give his team the eventual win.

When Chisholm swung through the ball, he made sure to lean back and really admire that thing. For good reason too, as it was a complete moonshot that had some crazy Statcast numbers. With a launch-angle of 34-degrees and a height of 126 feet, the home run went 413 feet into the Yankee Stadium right-field seats.

Chisholm, who many worried and started to panic about a few days ago, is not having a terrible season as whole. Now with four home runs on the year, and a .213 batting average, things could be better but are not terrible.

This latest triumph could not have come at a better time, and he definitely deserved the bit of aura-farm there. Chisholm is one of the more eccentric and swaggiest members of this Yankees roster, which helps the fans really cheer him on. But, sometimes the flashiness and absurdness gets in the way, causing some distain from the Yankees faithful.

Can Chisholm use this moment to catapult his season forward and give the Yankees a better chance of extending this AL East lead?
