The Pirates made clear they won’t trade superstar starter Paul Skenes. But they may have one of the better sales in a supreme sellers’ market. They will likely deal Andrew Heaney, and could listen on Mitch Keller, Ke’Bryan Hayes and other vets.
Teams are closely watching the Diamondbacks, understandable since they have several marketable players — including free-agents-to-be Merrill Kelly, Zac Gallen, Eugenio Suárez, Josh Naylor and Shelby Miller. But at least for now, they are buyers.
