Clarke Schmidt threw seven no-hit innings on Saturday.
The New York Yankees didn't let him continue further due to his pitch count, but upon his exit, he made history never done before in the entire existence of this storied franchise.
In his last three starts, Schmidt has thrown 20.2 innings, allowed six total hits and not allowed a run.
It's the first such stretch in the history of the Yankees, per Baseball Reference.

Even more than that, Schmidt has thrown 25.1 consecutive scoreless innings.
And if you want another stat, he has a 2.85 ERA since the start of 2024, which is second in the American League to Tarik Skubal (2.28).
Schmidt is on one of the best runs any pinstripes pitcher has ever had.
It's been huge for the Yankees, too, after Schmidt wasn't available at the start of the season due to injury. Clearly, the injury didn't slow him down too much.
Now, Yankees fans will wait to see if Schmidt can keep this streak going in a handful of days.
