Cam Schlittler continues to make the case that he's one of the best young pitchers in baseball.
He did it on Wednesday in Seattle by giving the New York Yankees a star that has never quite been matched in MLB history.
The key is Schlittler's totals in these five stats:
- 6.1 innings
- 2 hits
- 0 earned runs allowed
- 0 walks allowed
- 7 strikeouts.
No starting pitcher ever has had that exact line before, according to Pitchergami.
🚨 PITCHERGAMI 🚨
Cam Schlittler just threw a line that has NEVER happened in MLB history:
6.1 IP | 2 H | 0 ER | 0 BB | 7 K
NYY @ SEA
That's the 23rd Pitchergami of 2026 and 1 of 83,247+ unique lines on record.

There are multiple people replying to that X quote to question it, but it actually makes sense in the historical context of baseball.
A two-hitter, with no walks, through 19 outs? That pitcher would almost always have stayed in the game.
Pair that with a strikeout number that could've fluctuated up or down in previous instances of such a similar line, and it's actually fair that no one has ever done this specific feat before.
Schlittler has now thrown two gems to start the season after being so great in last year's playoffs. It's super promising for the Yankees to see that he has picked up right where he left off.
If he keeps throwing like this, the Yanks are that much more potent.
