Yankees and Blue Jays predicted to battle it out for three-time Batting Title Winner

The New York Yankees need to make a move or two at this year's deadline, and it shouldn't really matter where they look to get better. If the Yankees have a chance to improve offensively, no matter the position said player plays, they'll simply need to figure things out defensively.

At the end of the day, what they do offensively will be the reason the Yankees do or don't win a World Series come October, if the pitching staff can hold up. That's not to say they don't need to play defense, but if they can move guys around, I want the Yankees to do just that.

The same can be said for the Toronto Blue Jays, who are one of the more interesting teams to look at this year's deadline. Toronto hasn't played well for much of this season, which is part of why the Yankees might be able to land some very good players a bit more easily if Toronto is interested in them as well.

One guy who was recently floated as an option for both teams would make each of them better, with Luis Arraez among the options.

“Also as good as gone: Arraez, one of the sole bright spots for the Giants this year who is set to become a free agent at season's end. There's always the chance that his resurgence at second base collapses away from the tutelage of Ron Washington, but as it stands, he's been a very good two-way player this year at an awfully thin position,” Chris Landers wrote.

The Yankees and Blue Jays both battling it out for a guy like Arraez would be a lot of fun to watch.

There have been points throughout this season when Arraez looks to arguably be the best second baseman potentially available.

I'm unsure about his defensive play continuing at this level, but even if it doesn't, I'm more than content with making a move for him if I were either team because of what he does offensively by putting the baseball in play.
