The comparison is probably way too lazy.
But Spencer Jones, visually, has a lot in common with Aaron Judge. And since Jones is coming up in the New York Yankees' system, his name is mentioned frequently in conjunction with Judge.
After all, Jones is 6-foot-7, just like Judge.
They aren't the same, of course. Jones is a lefty hitter, for starters. But it's easy to dream.
And right now, Jones is having the best month of his minor league career.
He's batting .315 (1.056 OPS) with seven home runs in June for Double-A Somerset.
For the season, Jones is batting .271 with 16 homers and a .989 OPS in 48 games.

Strikeouts are a bit of a concern for Jones after he struck out 200 times last season in 124 Double-A games. The Yankees sent him to repeat Double-A this season as a 24-year old, and so far, his strikeout rate is down, his walk rate is up and he's hitting for more power.
Jones also has 10 steals in 12 attempts after going 25-for-34 swiping bags last season.
He may never be Judge, but he's looking more and more like a guy who will reach the major leagues.
And if he does it in time, the Yankees could have two 6-foot-7 guys patrolling the outfield at Yankee Stadium at once.
