WWE made a huge announcement during the Saturday Night's Main Event show in Salt Lake City. The Stamford-based promotion presented a show stacked with Championship matches. During the show, they announced the location for the first edition of the show for next year.
Saturday Night's Main Event from Salt Lake City featured 4 major title matches on the card. Cody Rhodes defended his title against Drew McIntyre while Tiffany put her title on the line against Jade Cargill. The Intercontinental Championship was defended in a Fatal 4-Way match at the show. The main event featured a singles match between CM Punk and Jey Uso for the Vacant World Heavyweight Championship.
During a commercial break after the Women's Championship match, the company announced that they will be heading to Canada in January of next year. They announced that the Bell Center in Montreal will host an episode of SmackDown on January 23rd and Saturday Night's Main Event on January 24th next year. It will be the first edition of the NBC special to air in 2026.
