AEW has grown rapidly in the six years of its existence and has truly established itself as one of the top wrestling promotions in the world. One of the major reasons why it has been able to do so is that the company has managed to create stars of its own as well, instead of just relying on signing big names.
Back when the promotion was started in 2019, AEW had earmarked four young stars as the pillars of the company, and all of them have achieved stardom in the promotion. Darby Allin, one of the four pillars of AEW, has not only achieved success within the world of professional wrestling but outside of it as well.
Earlier this year, Allin achieved a life goal of his and climbed the tallest peak in the world, Mount Everest. WWE Legend Teddy Long explained how the promotion missed an opportunity with Allin's achievement. He said that they should've filmed Darby Allin's life outside of the wrestling world and showed glimpses of his climb atop Mount Everest.
"Well, they should have did it another way. They should have did maybe documentary style. Or let's do something in the life of Darby Allin. Here's what he does on his own time," Long said. [sic]John Cena's last opponent leaked? Check here!
However, All Elite Wrestling did manage to get something out of his climb, though, as Darby Allin planted the AEW flag on the tallest Mountain in the world. Ever since returning, he has once again channeled his daredevil spirit into his wrestling. He has been involved in a brutal rivalry with Jon Moxley, and the two wrestlers are always involved in a controversial moment every time they meet each other in the ring.
