WWE, Brock Lesnar didn’t go far enough in passing torch to Oba Femi inside Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam

SummerSlam got off to a fine start — though it could have gone much better.

News of Randy Orton and Kevin Owens returning to the company soon took a little bit away from the Vipers’ return as WWE punted on giving us a clear resolution between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes — leaving it for a potential WrestleMania match.

Brock Lesnar finished making Oba Femi, but what we got in that match didn’t need to be inside Hell in a Cell, which really wasn’t used once other than to contain them inside U.S. Bank Stadium on Saturday.

There were some fun things during this show, including Nick Aldis crushing his in-ring return and WWE debut, along with Liv Morgan and Iyo Sky taking us on a heck of a ride to decide the Women’s World Championship and a Bella Twins heel turn.
