Wuthering Waves 2.8 livestream expected annoucements

Kuro Games has announced a special broadcast for the upcoming Wuthering Waves 2.8 update. It is scheduled to air on November 14, 2025, at 7 pm (UTC+8). During the livestream, the developers will share all the details about the upcoming version 2.8 update. This includes the new character showcase, weapons, banners, story, and more.

Announcements expected in Wuthering Waves 2.8 livestream

New characters

Version 2.8 will release two new characters. One is a 5-star Havoc unit named Chisa, and the other is a 4-star Electro unit named Buling. Players can look forward to their gameplay showcase in the special broadcast.

New weapon

Since Chisa is a 5-star unit, she'll also get her own signature weapon. The developers have already confirmed that she is a Broadblade user, and the beta leaks suggest that the large scissor in Chisa's splash art is also her signature.

According to the beta leaks shared by Wuwaland, version 2.8 will likely release a new area called Honami City. There's not much known about the area, but more details will be revealed during the livestream.

The new area will feature two new main story quests, according to the leaks via Seele. It will likely reveal more details about Chisa.

Zani's skin

WuWa 2.8 is expected to release a new outfit for Zani. It will be available in the in-game shop, and its rate will depend on its rarity. The livestream might showcase and reveal additional details about the skin.

Events

Rovers can look forward to multiple new events in version 2.8. This includes the usual 7-day login event that gives Lustrous Tides and Radiant Tides and a rerun of a popular combat event, Tactical Simulacra.

The livestream will also drop new codes that can be redeemed for in-game rewards, including 300 Astrites. The codes will expire within a few days, so redeem them as early as possible.
