‘Wuthering Heights’ dominates box office with $11M gross after one day

“Wuthering Heights” dominated the box office on its opening weekend, with gross sales hitting $11 million, according to The Numbers.

This adaptation of the famous 19th century Emily Bronte novel, which opened on Friday, features stars Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie who are swept into a steamy romance.

Coming in at No. 2 was the animated animal sports flick “GOAT,” which took home $7.1 million in its first week in theaters.

The movie, released on Friday, follows a small goat named Will along his path to sports stardom, and features voice appearances from NBA legend Stephen Curry and pop-star Jelly Roll.

“Crime 101,” starring Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo made $3.9 million bucks in its first day on the silver screen, ranking No. 3 after opening Friday.

It follows a Los Angeles detective pursuing an elusive thief who teams up with an insurance broker for one last heist.

“Send Help,” the horror comedy with Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien, moved down to fourth on the list, taking home $1.8 million this weekend after two weeks in theaters.

In fifth was the Kevin James comedy film “Solo Mio,” which made $1.4 million this weekend.
