Law enforcement officers met an American Airlines flight upon its arrival at Miami International Airport late Friday night following reports of a female passenger undressing and behaving indecently mid-flight.
American Airlines Flight 1779 departed Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) just after 9 p.m. EDT on Friday, Sept. 11, 2025, nearly two hours behind its scheduled departure time, according to public flight-tracking data. The flight landed in Miami at approximately 11:23 p.m. EDT.
As the Airbus A319 was en route to Florida, flight attendants alerted the cockpit crew to a disturbance involving a passenger in row 9.
According to Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) datalink logs published by aviation website AirLive, the lead flight attendant reported that a female passenger in seat 9D had completely undressed and engaged in indecent acts in view of nearby passengers.
The ACARS message stated the incident was required to be reported to American Airlines’ Integrated Operations Center and that law enforcement should be requested.

AirLive reported that law enforcement officers were waiting at the gate and that the passenger was taken into custody.
It remains unclear what specific measures cabin crew took during the flight to manage the disturbance.
