It has not been a great time to be Angel Reese of late.
Her basketball game is getting picked apart. She's missing close-range shots. The dialogue surrounding her and Caitlin Clark has gotten louder, and not in a positive way.
And now, she's getting taken to school by one of the best women's basketball scorers ever.
It was just a small moment, a left-handed drive into a scoop layup.
But when Kelsey Plum of the Los Angeles Sparks surged right past Reese to the hoop, it felt a bit emblematic of the season Reese is having.
Then Plum hit her with the cherry on top, the universal symbol for "too small."

— BricksCenter (@BricksCenter) May 25, 2025Reese isn't the first player to get scored on by Plum.
But the known competitor Plum certainly knew who she had just scored on when she broke out that celebration.
Things should get better for Reese, but right now they're pretty brutal.
