Azzi Fudd had a statement to make.
The 2026 No. 1 overall WNBA Draft pick hadn't begun her career with the Dallas Wings that well. But she stepped into New York City on Sunday to play the New York Liberty at Barclays Center, and that was the stage she needed.
Out of nowhere, Fudd erupted for 17 points in a quarter.
It tied Caitlin Clark for the most points in a quarter this season:

Fudd has always been a great shooter, and on this day, she simply started hitting shots, lots of them.
Her five 3-pointers in a quarter set the all-time WNBA rookie record, too.
Azzi Fudd is also tied for the 2nd most threes made in a single quarter EVER.
Not just among rookies 🤯 https://t.co/CnELqnSB9G

And on Sunday, she showed what it looks like when she really gets going.
