LSU and Will Wade have been here before.
He was still the Tigers' head coach when they recruited Chance Westry in the Class of 2022, although they missed out then on the four-star prospect.
Westry since has attended Auburn, then Syracuse, then UAB (Alabama-Birmingham).
But now Westry is in the transfer portal, according to ESPN's Jonathan Givony. And just on time, Wade's winding road has brought him back to Baton Rouge.
They could unite now in the purple and gold in a way they didn't four years ago.
Westry has two years of eligibility remaining, because he missed a whole season at SU with an injury.
He's coming off a great 15.7 points, 5.3 assists per game season worth of averages at UAB.
NEWS: UAB's Chance Westry will enter the transfer portal, he told DraftExpress.
The 6'6 point guard was named Second-Team All-AAC after leading the conference in assists (5.3) and averaging 15.7 points per game.

Another notable visit Westry had in high school -- Nebraska, which is coming off a historic season and can make a great case to Westry as a landing spot.
But it's safe to expect LSU to take some big swings in the NIL market to try and stock a great group for Wade.
Westry would fit. It seems he considered it before. Maybe now is the chance for him to go full circle.
