Will there be Zomvivor season 2? Renewal possibilities and post-credit scene explained amidst viewer anticipation

Netflix’s Thai survival horror series Zomvivor ended its season 1 on October 31, 2025. The drama starred NuNew Chawarin Perdpiriyawong, Zee Pruk Panich, Tommy Sittichok Pueakpoolpoln and Janis Janistar Phomphadungcheep on the lead roles.

On November 2, 2025, actor Nunew who portrayed the role of Nonn in the drama, attended the CeraVe's 20th-anniversary event at Parc Paragon in Bangkok. There talking with the press he confirmed that Zomvivor season 2 was in the works.

"I think there will be, but when... maybe soon. They're setting up the story (script). I'm sure there will be, because they're working on the script." the actor said.

Speaking about the show’s future, he revealed that the ending of the season 1 clearly hinted at a continuation. His comments confirmed what fans had been speculating since the finale aired that the story is far from over.

In the finale of Zomvivor, Nonn sacrifices himself by injecting Aunty Jit’s infected blood, turning into a zombie and becoming the new pack leader. Meanwhile, Dr. Wiroj rescues Ning by helicopter. However the finale of the drama episode 7 concluded the season 1 with several open-ended storylines.

The season’s final episode left fans with major cliffhangers, sparking demand and anticipation for a season 2 that now became officially confirmed to be under development. The news fueled excitement among fans who were left with unanswered questions after. They took to X to express their excitement with one fans saying,

"I hope they will take their time with the script but I can't wait to see it"

Zomvivor ending explained: Nonn’s sacrifice, shocking family twist, and post-credit reveal set up season 2

The show, Zomvivor, follows a group of university students trapped inside their campus after a mysterious epidemic turns the population into zombies. As the infection spreads beyond the university, the survivors are forced to find ways to stay alive while uncovering the truth behind the virus.

Zomvivor begins with a mysterious illness spreading through a university before engulfing the nearby city. The infected turn into violent, zombie-like beings, forcing the remaining students to barricade themselves inside the campus. With limited supplies, poor communication, and little help from the authorities, the survivors must rely on each other to understand the epidemic and fight for survival.

Among them are Ning, Nonn, Jean, San, Thorn, Thi, and others who attempt to study the infected. They notice that the zombies react differently to environmental changes. Suchas they become more aggressive in heat and calmer during rain. The students also realizes that the epidemic may have originated from a parasite linked to the immortal jellyfish, making the infected capable of regeneration.

These zombies also exhibit social and emotional patterns. They discover that the zombies follow a leader, Aunty Jit, who is the first person to be injected with the serum that starts the outbreak. She shows maternal affection toward others in the zombie pack, suggesting that fragments of humanity still remain.

Believing that Aunty Jit’s behavior can be the key to understanding the infection, the group decides to capture her. However, the plan goes wrong when Jean shoots Aunty Jit during a confrontation, killing her. This act plunges the survivors into chaos and deep mistrust. To study the infection further, Ning volunteers to inject herself with Aunty Jit’s blood, hoping to understand how the parasite interacts with the human body. Jean stops her, pointing a gun at Nonn and accusing Ning of abandoning responsibility for their failed mission.

During this standoff, zombies break into the room they are in, forcing everyone to flee. As they reach the rooftop, a helicopter arrives carrying Dr. Wiroj who is the scientist linked to the virus’s origin. Upon spotting Ning, he orders the helicopter to land but allows only her and Nonn to board. Nonn is actually the son of Dr. Wiroj and Kanchana making Ning and Nonn half-siblings.

However, Nonn refuses to join Ning and chooses instead to stay with his friends. In a desperate act, he aska Mook to inject him with Aunty Jit’s infected blood, both to help his friends and to prove his independence. In the final scene he becoming senseless leans on to the arms of his friends. The helicopter flies off as other surviving students join the group on the rooftop. With this the Zomvivor's season 1 concludes.

In the post-credit sequence, Nonn, who is locked in a cage, has transformed into a zombie. The other infected appear to recognize him as their new leader, suggesting he has taken Aunty Jit’s place. Meanwhile, Kanchana, who has been in a coma, wakes up with one blue pupil which suggests that she is now partially infected. Wiroj’s has serum saved her life but also made her part human and part zombie, introducing a new species.
