Will Lamar Jackson play in Week 11? Latest injury updates on Ravens quarterback

1 hour ago 1

The Baltimore Ravens have a new injury concern with quarterback Lamar Jackson ahead of their crucial Week 11 game against the Cleveland Browns.

In what was a surprise, Jackson did not take part in practice on Wednesday due to a knee injury. There were no reports Jackson was dealing with anything after the win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 10, so this was unexpected.

Of course, this now leads to concern about Jackson's status for Week 11.

Baltimore's superstar quarterback has already missed three games this season with a hamstring injury and the Ravens can ill-afford to lose him for even one more game as they continue to try and dig out of a 1-5 hole.

After practice on Wednesday, head coach John Harbaugh provided a positive update that leads us to believe Jackson will be able to go on Sunday.

Ravens head coach Jim Harbaugh offered some positivity for Jackson's status after revealing that Jackson "should be OK" after sitting out on Wednesday afternoon, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.

Harbaugh also expects Jackson to return to practice on Thursday.

Will Lamar Jackson play in Week 11?

Based on Harbaugh's comment and the fact that he expects Jackson to return to practice on Thursday, there's a good chance the Ravens signal-caller will play.

However, it goes without saying that we need to keep an eye on the injury report the rest of the week to make sure. We'll get our next update on Jackson's status on Thursday, when the Ravens drop their second injury report of the week.

If Jackson ends up sitting out, the Ravens will likely turn to Tyler Huntley once again.

Huntley replaced fellow backup Cooper Rush in the final game of Jackson's three-game absence and managed to lead Baltimore to a victory, which was the start of the Ravens' current three-game winning streak.

Thanks to that three-game winning streak, the Ravens have gained ground on the Pittsburgh Steelers for first place in the AFC North. Sitting at 4-5, Baltimore trails its division rival by just one game, with the Steelers at 5-4.
