Cynthia Erivo confirmed that she's joining Ariana Grande onstage for her Eternal Sunshine tour next year. The two appeared together at the Wicked: For Good Singapore premiere on Thursday, November 13, and reacted to their new Grammy nomination for their duet.
Their interview with Access Hollywood's Scott Evans also ventured into possibly extending the duo's performance onstage now that Ariana Grande is coming back on tour. The pop star said that she had extended the invitation to her co-star, to which Cynthia Erivo also confirmed, saying:
"I was told to come and sing. I said I'm going to come and visit [but] she said to sing."It means fans will be able to see Grande and Erivo onstage together once the former kicks off her world tour next year. The Eternal Sunshine Tour is scheduled from June 2026 up to September that same year, with the first stop being Oakland Arena on June 6, 2026.
While it remains a mystery which shows Cynthia Erivo will make a special appearance, Ariana Grande is scheduled for shows in Oakland, Los Angeles, Austin, and more cities around the US before ending the tour with ten shows at the O2 in London.
Cynthia Erivo protected Ariana Grande from a scary red carpet moment in Singapore
Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande were with their Wicked: For Good co-stars on the red carpet for their movie's premiere in Singapore when a scary moment happened. A man in a while shirt and shorts charged at Grande and grabbed and pulled her close as the star attempted to get away.

Multiple videos that captured the incident from a variety of angles showed the Wicked star, who plays Elphaba in the movie, lunging towards the man and placing herself between the intruder and her co-star. She also appeared to shout at him as members of security stepped in.
According to The Economic Times, witnesses said that Erivo quickly "grabbed hold of the intruder" and protected her co-star. She and Michelle Yeoh, who stars in the film with them, can later be seen comforting Ariana Grande. The disturbing incident quickly made waves on social media, with the public identifying the red carpet intruder as Johnson Wen, aka Pyjama Man.
Wen is known for crashing celebrity red carpet events for attention online. He also went on to Instagram following the Singapore premiere incident, mockingly thanking Ariana Grande for "letting" him jump on the yellow carpet with her. He also famously crashed Katy Perry's show in June 2025, jumping onstage and shocking the singer, and crashing The Weeknd's show in August.
Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Defying Gravity. Wicked is also nominated for other categories, and Erivo's Be Okay for Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella. Meanwhile, Wicked: For Good will arrive in movie theaters worldwide on November 21.
