Wild video shows a mystery figure being chased across the tarmac of one of the world’s busiest airports — just feet from moving aircraft.

The unknown individual had something wrapped around his waist as he was filmed running across a taxiway at London’s Heathrow Airport on Sunday with at least four staffers giving chase.

The chase is right in front of where one jet is being backed up — and another lands at high speed close behind them.

“What’s going on here? Why would there be people running across the … what’s this all about?” the person filming the footage says, gasping that it is “not right.”

“They are chasing him. What are you doing, mate? Get on the floor, son. Give yourself up,” the person filming says.

The mystery figure managed to escape capture for over a minute, before he was caught up by a van carrying two people in fluorescent tops.

He was then escorted away and pinned to the ground by security at the British transport hub, but not before the cameraman bemoaned the apparent lack of urgency from the authorities.

“Isn’t there anyone fit enough to take him down?” asks the man filming. “They’re gonna have to stop the operations, man. They’re gonna have to stop aircraft moving.”

Police were later seen racing across the airport, close to Terminal 2, and arriving at the scene.

The unnamed man was put in the back of the vehicle and arrested.

“Working with partners, we have quickly resolved an incident at the airport involving an individual who accessed the airfield taxiway,” a spokesperson for Heathrow Airport told The Sun.

“The individual has been removed from the airport. The airport continues to operate as normal and passengers are traveling as planned.”

It was not immediately clear why he was running nor how he got there.
