Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes Reveal NSFW Details About Their Sex Life
T.J. Holmes' Christmas present to girlfriend Amy Robach was not a diamond ring.
After all, neither one of the former GMA3: What You Need to Know hosts—whose behind-the-scenes romance sparked controversy in 2022—are fond of the idea of getting engaged over the holidays.
"I actually don't like sharing holidays with special events," Robach said on the Dec. 23 episode of her and Holmes' Amy & T.J. podcast. "I like to have special events be their own special events."
The 51-year-old added of a Christmas marriage proposal, "It wouldn't be what I would want."
In fact, Robach—who was previously married to Tim McIntosh from 1996 to 2008 and to Andrew Shue from 2010 until their divorce was finalized in 2023—said her past engagements happened on "random days that had zero significance."
"If you have some big proposal on a big holiday, it's always going to take a little something away from that holiday if it doesn't work out," she noted. "Just something to consider—being realistic and having lived enough life."
Likewise, Holmes—who was married to Amy Ferson from 2004 to 2007 and to Marilee Fiebig from 2010 until filing for divorce in 2022—said he previously popped the question on "random and insignificant" days.
Explaining how he doesn't like the notion of "hijacking" the holidays, he continued of getting down on one knee during Christmas, "I would be hesitant to do it. It sounds like too much in one day."
Holmes added, "Obviously, for anyone who is wondering, there won’t be a Christmas Day proposal."

But regardless of a proposal, the couple are in it for the long haul. As Robach told Holmes on their podcast earlier this year, "I have said this to you, and I believe you've said it to me as well, that I want to be with you for the rest of my life."
"I want a life partner," she continued in an April episode. "I want someone who is with me. I like spending the night with you and waking up with you."
Citing Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, who have been together for 40 years but never married, Robach shared that having a life partner was just as meaningful as a spouse.
As she put it, "There's no legal binding document that says they have to be together."
