Why Shania Twain didn’t attend Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding

Shania Twain shared that she was invited to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's wedding.

The country singer revealed that she really wanted to witness Kelce and Swift say "I do," but she was caught up in another commitment. 

“I would have done anything to be at Taylor’s wedding,” Twain said in an interview with ETalk, published on Tuesday, July 14. “I would have done anything, and that would have been really lovely for me to be there — but I was with Harry.”

The country icon was referencing working with Harry Styles, who is currently on his "Together, Together" tour in support of his latest album release, "Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally." 

“Taylor Swift invited me to her wedding and I couldn’t go because I was already committed to Harry’s shows. I was already committed,” the “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” hitmaker said. “If Harry ever gets married and he wants me at his wedding then … he’s going to have to ask me more in advance.”

Swift and Styles had a brief romance from November 2012 to January 2013.

“It’s just kind of funny that it happened that way,” she added.

Who else didn't attend Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's wedding?

Twain is not the only celebrity to have missed Swift and Kelce's wedding due to a work commitment. Ryan Seacrest shared last week that he was asked to host Disney's 4th of July 250 special.

“It was a confidential invitation to everybody that was invited. So when you were doing your reports about the wedding, I was just on the inside screaming, outside very composed,” Seacrest said to his co-hosts on 'On Air with Ryan Seacrest'. “I RSVP’d to go, and then Disney hired me to do the 4th of July 250 special on the 3rd and the 4th, so I had to cancel.”

Longtime friends of Swift, Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, were also not in attendance, as well as Lana Del Rey, who had plans that coincided with the July 3 wedding. 

Regardless of a few celebrities not being able to make it to the Madison Square Garden ceremony, the couple had a lot of A-listers in attendance, like Tom Brady, Simone Biles, Gigi Hadid, and more.
