The Seattle Seahawks are coming off a Super Bowl win, and it doesn't get much better than that. But, of course, they aren't the same team that they were last season.
The Seahawks look fairly different than they did at this time last year, although they have a few major pieces still with the team, like quarterback Sam Darnold and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
So, it's not like this team has lost a ton of its talent. But, it hurt when they parted ways with Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III. The good news is that they may have already replaced him.
Seahawks may have already found Kenneth Walker III's replacement
It seems far-fetched to think a rookie could replace Walker, but remember that Walker was a powerful rookie at one point. The Seahawks drafted him in 2022, so it wasn't like he came in with NFL experience.
That's the case with running back Jadarian Price. In a feature for ESPN, Jordan Reid makes the case that Price is kind of a replacement for Walker.
"Replacing reigning Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III won't be easy, but Price should bring a similar skill set to Seattle's offense," he says in the piece. "Where Price could bring more value, though, is in the passing game. Despite never surpassing double-digit receptions at Notre Dame, he showed plenty of comfort when asked to be an option out of the backfield."
He adds that Price should also do well due to "a Brian Fleury offense featuring plays with two RBs and a mixture of downhill running concepts."
So, he's not Walker yet. But, he could bring that same skill set sooner rather than later.
