Nicholas Hoult’s Wife Bryana Holly Slams Body Shamers After Oscars Vanity Fair Outing
Nicholas Hoult doesn't have a skyscraper with his name on it, but he's a pretty famous guy.
And he's proof that a celebrity can quietly assemble an all-star team on his own terms, the Superman actor and wife Bryana Holly—who made a rare but jaw-dropping red carpet appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party March 15—never personally confirming they were expecting their first child in 2018.
Nor did they say anything when their second baby was on the way in 2022, and they stayed mum about both blessed events until months after the fact.
"Someone will find out soon enough and that’s fine, no big deal," Hoult told the Evening Standard in January 2019, acknowleding he had a 9-month-old at home, end of story. "But for now it’s my own precious little thing and I’m keeping it."
The 36-year-old has since been out and about with his now-7-year-old son Joaquin, but he and Holly have yet to share the name of Joaquin's sibling. Hoult did tell GQ in an interview published Oct. 13 that he considered watches to be "family heirlooms," and "any watch that I collect or love and appreciate, that's something that I can then give to my sons."
Meanwhile, The Favourite star and the model have been on the same page about wanting to remain as private as possible after both experienced the opposite in previous relationships.

Hoult's breakthrough performance came when he was only 12, in 2002's About a Boy, but his earliest years as a grown-up actor starring in the likes of X-Men: First Class were oft overshadowed by his romance with Jennifer Lawrence, while Holly popped up on Keeping Up With the Kardashians in 2013 when she was dating Brody Jenner.
So, while they world knew them as a handsome couple, then as parents of two, the first inkling that they might also be married didn't come until 2024.
Hoult first noted on a November 2024 episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast that his phone wallpaper was "my wife and kids."
He then quickly joked, "It’s all my movie posters, it’s my headshot. It’s my resume, it’s my CV." But such is his droll sense of humor, as he quipped to host Josh Horowitz, "I'm emotionally available to you, and only you. And sometimes my kids."
He doubled down on his apparent relationship status a couple weeks later, telling E! News at the 2024 Governors Awards that his then-upcoming movie Nosferatu was so scary, he was left with marks from his "wife's nails" digging into his arm.
And then they made their red carpet debut after more than seven years together at the Dec. 13, 2024, premiere of the horror film.

Holly has shared a bit more on Instagram since then, wishing Hoult a "happy Daddy's Day " in 2025 with a photo of the four of them, their boys' faces shielded by heart stickers. She added, "We couldn't love you more."
But going to bat for herself this week in defense of her Oscars night look was a rare move for the model, critiques of how her body looked in her sequined Lurelly halter gown meriting a clapback.
“I am seeing the comments around my chest and not that *anyone* is owed an explanation,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories March 17 alongside their red carpet pic from the Vanity Fair party, “but this is the product of a breast feeding mother who hasn’t fed her babies in hours ok! If you know then you know.”
Though, with these two, we won't really know until they're ready for us to know.

“I don’t feel as though I’m that possessive over things like that,” Nicholas told The Journal in November 2017. “She can put her stuff wherever she likes. My dad was an air pilot so he was flying a lot, and I grew up with my two sisters and my mum so I was used to ‘girl things’ being around and a ‘girl environment’ in the household.”
