Cam Skattebo earned himself his first NFL fine in a silly way.
The league fined the New York Giants' rookie running back $15,000 on Friday for his actions during Week 7.
That might not seem like a ton of cash, but for a rookie, it's very real money.
So it's at least worth understanding why Skattebo is getting cost that amount.

Why did the NFL fine Cam Skattebo?
Skattebo got himself too involved during Jaxson Dart's concussion protocol.
The Giants' rookie quarterback hit his head on the ground hard, and he left the game to be examined.
Russell Wilson came into the Week 7 game to play quarterback, and Dart went for evaluation on the sideline.
Dart eventually was taken to the blue medical tent. When the Giants' drive was over, Skattebo hustled over and popped his head in to see how Dart was doing.
Except in the middle of concussion protocol, Skattebo isn't supposed to do that. That's why he was fined.

He clearly just cared about his guy and wanted to see if he was OK.
Dart got back in the game, and the Giants should've held on to beat the Broncos, but they didn't, which makes the fine for Skattebo just a bit of insult to injury.
