Luis Arraez is one of the more polarizing players in the Majors.
He is an old-school kind of hitter, slapping base hits to all parts of the field. However, he doesn't hit for much power, and his walk rate is consistently low.
Arraez's stint with the Philadelphia Phillies was not nearly as impressive as the first half of the year with the San Francisco Giants.
"He was excellent with the San Francisco Giants, hitting .324 with a 3.8 WAR in 105 games. He wasn't the same player after getting dealt to the Phillies, batting a more modest .278 with a 0.3 WAR in 46 games before a bad left ankle sprain prevented him from suiting up in the NLWCS," Bleacher Report's Tim Kelly wrote.
Arraez's defense was much improved at second base with the help of Ron Washington, San Francisco's infield coach.
He had -4 defensive runs saved but accumulated 12 outs above average after several years of below-average defensive work.

"Arraez will probably get a two-year deal, though that could feel underwhelming, considering he seemed to be trending towards a longer commitment based on how he performed from April to July," Kelly added.
Given his unique style of play, it's hard to pinpoint Arraez's free agency value.
At this stage of his career, Arraez is unlikely to change his offensive profile.
