It's not a given that Jacoby Brissett will start for the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
But if Kyler Murray does indeed miss out injured, it's really bad news for the Cardinals' offensive players.
There's been some chatter that Brissett may actually be good news for the Cards' skill guys, but that's simply not true.
This post on X from Adam Levitan summed things up:
"Anything can happen in a 1-game sample. But Jacoby Brissett started 5 games and dropped back 188 times for Patriots last season. Brissett completed just 59% of his passes, didn’t throw for more than 168 yards in a game, threw 2 TDs. Only Will Levis was worse in EPA per dropback."

This mostly matters for two pass catchers: Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride.
McBride, at what is generally a weak fantasy position at tight end, is someone that still has to be in fantasy lineups every week, even if Brissett starts.
Frankly, Harrison has been too impressive lately and is too talented to sit, either.
But it's a word of caution, for sure.
If Brissett is out there, upside appears to be chopped down considerably.
Murray himself is a bit more of a fantasy risk even if he plays, given that a mobile QB could put himself at risk of re-injury.
And if Murray is a risk even when he's out there, and if he might not even be out there, there's a lot that could go wrong for Arizona on Sunday.
