Jonathan Bailey joins his Jurassic World Rebirth costars Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali and their director, Gareth Edwards, at their new film's London photocall on Monday, June 16, 2025. The movie, where Bailey will star as Dr. Henry Loomis, will be out in movie theaters in a few weeks' time on July 2, 2025.

But besides the anticipation for the film, the actor made headlines because of his outfit choice during the London event. He was pictured in gray sweaters and black pants by The Row and sunglasses, but it was his footwear of choice that left the Internet buzzing. Jonathan Bailey left netizens divided after attending the red carpet in flip-flops, prompting people to ask if it was appropriate attire.

Some netizens shared online that they loved Jonathan Bailey's look, noting that it was comfortable and the actor looked good.

All about Jonathan Bailey's upcoming film, Jurassic World Rebirth

The dinosaur saga returns to the big screen in the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth, directed by Godzilla and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story director Gareth Edwards. David Koepp, who wrote the script for the original Jurassic Park movie and its 1997 sequel The Lost World, returns to pen the 2025 movie. Steven Spielberg, who directed The Lost World, also returns as an executive producer.

As for the storyline, Jurassic World Rebirth picks up five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion. Most of the escaped dinosaurs have died due to their inability to adapt to Earth's modern climate. Meanwhile, at the old InGen research facility from the original film, a dino-biome remains intact.

Like most of the movies in the franchise, someone is always looking to capitalize on the giant creatures. This time, it's a pharmaceutical company claiming that the dinosaurs hold genetic material crucial for a medical breakthrough.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, published on February 4, Edwards teased what the movie will bring to the big screen. He said:

"To me, it's like a heist movie that meets all the films of Steven Spielberg I loved growing up. The three films we're orbiting were Jaws, Indiana Jones, and the awe and wonder of the original Jurassic."

In Jurassic World Rebirth, Jonathan Bailey stars as paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis, while Scarlet Johansson is Zora Bennett, a mercenary-for-hire paid to lead the mission. Other stars include Oscar winner Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, and more.
