Popular streamer Matthew "Mizkif" has become the talk of the town after announcing that he is shifting platforms to Kick. On December 15, 2025, the content creator posted an action-packed, Star Wars-inspired video on X, captioned "Goodbye Twitch, Forever," in which he announced his move to the Stake-backed livestreaming platform.

He also revealed that he will host his first Kick broadcast on December 17, 2025.

The announcement went viral, garnering over 3.6 million views, with more than 1,900 netizens commenting. While some fans were ecstatic to watch the New Jersey native's content on the Twitch competitor, many community members were not so delighted.

X user @SlopEnjoyer_ questioned "what changed" with Mizkif's previous statement about not going to Kick:

"Wonder what changed" X user @SlopEnjoyer_ posted.

One community member expressed their belief that the former OTK (One True King) member's move to Kick was a "last resort":

"Couldn't hack it on Rumble Kicked off of Twitch Running to Kick as last resort Can we go 3/3??" X user @Snazzguy1 wrote.

Several more netizens have shared their thoughts.

"If you put half as much effort into being a better person as you did the production in this video, you wouldn’t be everyone’s favorite punching bag." X user @YourBudTevin remarked. "Ah yes the abuser is running to the platform of birds of his feather because he got his wittwe feewings hurt" X user @AltNatSecAgency commented. "Bro thinks he is the lead character in the story when in reality he is just a cameraman that got mistaken as someone important!" X user @smokin_troll420 wrote.

Mizkif's past statement about him not livestreaming on Kick explored

On June 12, 2025, Mizkif discussed OTK's announcement of exclusively broadcasting some of its events on Kick.

He also responded to those who suggested he begin broadcasting on the livestreaming platform by stating that he would not go to Kick because the platform's owner "made him try to kill himself":

"Let me make myself very clear! Okay? I am not going to Kick. Period, exclamation mark. I will not go to Kick. Period, exclamation point. Period. That's it. That's all you need to know. I will not go. Why? I've had times where I've thought about it. I've had times when I think about it. Their owner made me try to kill myself. I will not go to Kick. I'm good. That's it. Period. I'm good!"

Mizkif went on to say that the decision not to broadcast on Kick at the time was "not about morals":

"Me personally? I can't do it. Wouldn't do it. It's not about morals. It's not about anything else. That's just it. I would never live with myself. Period. That's it. So, no, I'm not going. And that's it.

On the same day that he announced his move to Kick, Mizkif disclosed that he will host a $20,000 giveaway on December 17, 2025.
