Chelsea is on a little bit of a roll, having won its last four matches in all competitions.
But the blues will have to continue that roll on Saturday without their man man, Cole Palmer.
Chelsea hosts Sunderland in a match that the home side will be greatly favored to win.
Palmer won't take part, though.
Why isn't Cole Palmer playing today?
Cole Palmer is out with an injury, and that's why he isn't playing for Chelsea on Saturday.
Palmer is dealing with a nagging groin injury.
He hasn't played since being substituted off early in the September defeat to Manchester United.
Palmer was rested during the international break, and word initially indicated he could come back quickly.
Instead, manager Enzo Maresca said last week that Palmer would miss another six weeks.
That carries Palmer on to a December return at the earliest.
The good news for Chelsea is that after a short absence for the captain Enzo Fernandez, he's back in the side Saturday against Sunderland.
Fernandez and company will have to take care of business without Palmer in the meantime as Chelsea tries to keep itself moving up the Premier League table.
