The Carolina Panthers have a different starting quarterback for Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills: Andy Dalton.
That's because Bryce Young isn't playing.
It's the first start of the season for the Red Rifle.
The Panthers have been a bit up and down, but until this week, they've continued to give the 2023 No. 1 overall pick Young a chance to figure things out.
Things were taken out of Young's hands for Week 8, though.

Why isn't Bryce Young playing today?
Bryce Young is missing Week 8 due to an ankle injury.
He missed out on practice in the lead-in to Sunday's game, signaling that he'd be out.
With Young out and Dalton starting, the Panthers' QBs behind Dalton are Hendon Hooker and new signee Mike White.
Young is in his third season after being the No. 1 overall pick in 2023 out of Alabama.
He's completing a career-best 61.6% of his passes and has thrown 11 touchdowns compared to five interceptions, which is also tracking to be the best rate of his career.
Dalton once led a Bengals game-winning drive in a different game that actually got the Bills into the playoffs, so he's a bit of a hero in Buffalo.
Now, he gets the start in Charlotte against the Bills.
