The Atlanta Falcons have a new kicker in John Parker Romo, who took over for former Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo in Week 2.
Parker Romo had quite the debut with Atlanta last week, as the veteran kicker nailed all five of his field goal attempts in the win over the Minnesota Vikings last week.
But Parker Romo is struggling mightily in Week 3 after missing his first two field goals, one from 55 yards and another from 49 yards.
Why Falcons replaced Younghoe Koo with John Parker Romo
After being a reliable kicker for the Falcons since 2019, Koo struggled mightily in 2024 with a lackluster 73.5% field goal rate, and his issues continued in 2025 after Koo missed a field goal in Week 1, which led to his benching.
The Falcons signed Parker Romo to the practice squad and had him kick in Week 2, and then the team decided to cut ties with Koo after the veteran's impressive performance against the Vikings.
Perhaps the Falcons will want to give Koo another shot after what we're seeing from Parker Romo in Week 3.
