Why Arsenal wantaway star could be good addition for Bayern Munich?

Bayern Munich continue their hunt for a new winger in the summer transfer window despite being at the receiving end of their priority options.

The Bavarians are reportedly now pushing for a move to sign Liverpool star Luis Diaz, who is slightly unsettled with his salary situation at Anfield.

While there were reports of Bayern agreeing personal terms with the Colombian winger, they are yet to match Liverpool's lofty asking price of €80m ($93m) for the 28-year-old.

Bayern Munich has made a €50m ($58m) opening bid for Diaz, but Liverpool reportedly are firm in their stance and are in no mood to let go of the Colombian for anything less than the asking fee.

Therefore, the German champions have kept an alternative option ready in Arsenal star Leandro Trossard as per BILD

The Belgian versatile winger is extremely underrated in Mikel Arteta's system at Arsenal.

Arsenal are close to wrapping up the move for Noni Madueke from Chelsea, and therefore, they could be open to selling Trossard.

Why Trossard could be a good sign for Bayern Munich?

Trossard is reportedly available in the market for €20m ($23m), and for that price, the Belgian could be a steal signing if the German champions decide to push for him.

The 30-year-old has been a crucial squad player for the Gunners ever since he moved to North London from Brighton

Trossard is extremely versatile, and his intelligent movements in the final third could benefit Bayern in their attacking style of play.

The Bavarians have a lack of options on the left flank, and Trossard, with his ability to play on the left or in a more central could be lethal in Vincent Kompany's system.

The 30-year-old winger featured in 42 matches for Arsenal last season and scored 10 goals and provided nine assists across competitions.

As per FBref, his statistics hold up well when compared to forwards in the top five European leagues, as he averaged 2.74 progressive carries, 3.36 shot-creating actions, 3.72 progressive passes and 1.90 success take-ons per 90 minutes last season.

Apart from being the left-wing option for Kompany, Trossard could also slot in for the injured Jamal Musiala in an attacking midfield role until he returns to action.
