Who is Deuce Alexander? Meet Ole Miss WR with two 62-yard touchdowns vs. Louisville

Lane Kiffin dominated headlines throughout the college offseason, much to the dismay of the Ole Miss Rebels. To put matters behind them, a new Kiffin-less era has begun with a bright spot: the emergence of Deuce Alexander.

On Sunday evening, the senior wide receiver used his blistering speed to navigate through a sea of Louisville players donning cardinal red and into the end zone twice. In just one game this season, he matched his season-high from both in 2024 and 2025.

Who is Deuce Alexander?

Alexander, whose full name is Hilton Dekeith Alexander II, was born on July 27, 2005, according to his Ole Miss athletics page. The 21-year-old was a four-year letter winner at Douglas County High School in Douglasville, Ga., and his father, Hilton, played three seasons in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints.

Alexander's college career got off to a slow start during his first two seasons. However, once he transferred to join Ole Miss, the burner began getting hot. On Sunday night against Louisville, Alexander tallied not one, but two touchdown receptions. Coincidentally, they both happened to be exactly 62 yards.

Alexander's first touchdown required the wide receiver to turn on the jets after the catch and beat out the Cardinal defenders in front of him, which he successfully did.

After already giving the Rebels a third-quarter lead, Alexander wasn't finished. He connected with Trinidad Chambliss again, this time already beating the Louisville defensive personnel while the ball was still in the air. The rest, thanks to a blazing-fast trip down the Cardinals' sideline, was history.

Where did Deuce Alexander transfer from?

Before he became a member of Ole Miss in 2025, Alexander played two seasons as a part of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. In two seasons in Winston-Salem, N.C., he combined for 38 receptions for 430 yards and three touchdowns.

Alexander only suited up for two games during his freshman season. However, his ensuing campaign featured a plethora of progress across the field. He continued his development even more when he joined the Rebels after two seasons at Wake Forest.
