Who is Chris Brazzell II?
Chris Brazzell II is a redshirt sophomore wide receiver in his second season with the Volunteers. Prior to joining Tennessee as a transfer in December 2023, Brazzell played at Tulane for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. He is the son of former NFL and CFL receiver Chris Brazzell.
Brazzell came out of Midland Christian School in Midland, Texas, as a three-star prospect and initially committed to FAU before flipping to Tulane. He's listed on Tennesee's roster page at 6-foot-5 and 200 pounds.
After a quiet freshman 2022 season at Tulane, Brazzell led the Green Wave in receptions and yards in 2023, earning All-American Athletic Conference third-team honors. That also led to his decision to transfer, joining a more prestigious Tennessee squad as a four-star transfer following the 2023 season.
In 2024, Brazzell had solid numbers, including 333 receiving yards and two touchdown catches as the Volunteers made the College Football Playoff.
Prior to the 2025 season, Brazzell was charged with speeding and driving with a suspended license following an Aug. 8 arrest in Knoxville.
As the most recent college football season has begun, Brazzell has broken out in his second year at Tennessee, posting 364 yards over his first three games alone.
