Who is Auston Trusty?

Trusty is a 27-year-old defender who plays center back for the United States at the 2026 World Cup. In Thursday night's match against Turkey, Trusty finally scored his elusive first goal for the U.S.

Trusty became just the third USMNT player of the modern era to score his first career international goal at a World Cup, joining Julian Green and John Brooks.

At the club level, Trusty plays for Celtic F.C. in Scotland, and he made a plethora of starts for the Scottish champions this year.
