Who Is Anthony Norman On ‘Jury Duty’ Season 2? Everything To Know About ‘Company Retreat’s Star

2 hours ago 2

Jury Duty Season 2 has arrived, and with any luck, the casting department found a new lovable lead to build its latest elaborate social experiment around.

Back in 2023, the wholesome Ronald Gladden skyrocketed to stardom after being selected to serve jury duty alongside 11 others, including James Marsden. He agreed to be part of a docuseries that explored the American judicial process. But what he didn’t know was that his fellow jurors were actors, the case was fake, and the details of the trial — and his experience — were meticulously planned by the show’s writers.

After the surprise, soaring success of Season 1, creators Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky returned with a new premise. They hired the unsuspecting Anthony Norman to help run an offsite corporate retreat for a fictional, family-owned company, Rockin’ Grandma’s Hot Sauce. While we’ve only seen the first three episodes of Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, it’s safe to say we’re already huge fans of Season 2’s leading man.

So who is Anthony Norman on Jury Duty Season 2? Here’s what to know about the new star of the beloved Amazon FreeVee (RIP) turned Prime Video series.

Who Is Anthony Norman On Jury Duty Season 2? Meet Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat‘s Star

Shorty after Jury Duty Season 2 kicks off, the new non-actor/”hero” introduces himself, saying, “I’m 25. I’m from Nashville, Tennessee, born and raised.” We also learn that he’s “always giving it 100%” and at the time of filming, he’d been doing temporary work for two years. So how did he find himself on the set of a stealth TV show?

According to the LA Times, Norman was “one of 10,000 people who applied to what they believed was a documentary project about a small business.” When discussing what singled Norman out from the giant group, producer Todd Schulman said that both Gladden and Norman possessed “incredible decency and humanity that really makes you just root for them.”

“You could just tell there was a warmth to him and a real comfort in his own shoes,” Schulman continued. “He knew who he was, and he wasn’t going to be rattled or thrown off his game in any way by the stuff we were going to put him through.”

When the first three episodes of Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat dropped on Friday, March 20, it quickly became clear that Norman had serious heart, humor, and respect for others. He’s easygoing, quickly gets along with his Rockin’ Grandma’s team, and has a contagious smile and energy that helps restore your faith in humanity.

“You can’t script anything like that,” Eisenberg told the LA Times of the Season 2 lead’s dedication to his new company and colleagues. “We just lucked out,” Schulman added.

While the team behind the hit television show were careful not to share too much about their new leading man and what viewers can expect from him as the season progresses, they did confirm that Norman hadn’t seen Jury Duty prior to casting him.

Fans will likely be eager to learn more about Norman’s personal life after diving into Season 2, but thankfully, with such a small online presence, it appears the Jury Duty team help properly prep and protect him for what’s sure to be an incredibly overwhelming instant celebrity status.

Until Norman can publicly speak on the life-changing project later in the season, if you’re interested in learning more about him and his Jury Duty journey you can follow him on Instagram at @anthony_norman, where he had roughly 2,000 followers ahead of premiere day. That’s sure to change soon! and we can’t wait to watch Norman’s wild season unfold.
