It's big news that the Cincinnati Bengals and Minnesota Vikings are starting backup quarterbacks in Week 3 when they match up.
Joe Burrow is out, so Jake Browning is in. And J.J. McCarthy is out, so that means Carson Wentz is next man up.
But less noted is what happens behind these new guys on the QB depth chart. Everyone moves up a spot.
And if there's another injury, it could become a tricky situation for Cincinnati or Minnesota.

Who is the Bengals' backup QB to Jake Browning?
The Bengals' backup quarterback behind Jake Browning is Brett Rypien.
He was the only other healthy QB on the roster when Burrow was hurt. The Bengals have since signed Mike White and Sean Clifford, but they will remain on the practice squad at least a little longer while they learn Zac Taylor's offensive system.

Who is the Vikings' backup QB to Carson Wentz?
The Vikings' backup quarterback to Carson Wentz is Max Brosmer.
Brosmer is an undrafted rookie out of Minnesota who impressed Minnesota's coaching staff greatly during the preseason.
Behind Brosmer is Desmond Ridder, who the Vikings just signed. Ridder has NFL starting experience, but he isn't up to speed in the system enough to be ahead of Brosmer on the current depth chart.
