Whitney Cummings continued to bring the laughs on Tuesday’s episode of The View, this time skewering Kid Rock alongside Joy Behar.
Whoopi Goldberg opened up the show with a segment about the rapper, as an army review has been launched surrounding a flyby of an Apache helicopter outside of his home in Tennessee. In a clip of Kid Rock speaking with WKRN, the rapper teased that his “buddy’s Commander in Chief,” referring to President Donald Trump.
“I mean, what are they looking into? They stopped for, I don’t know, seconds? A minute? Maybe they were here three, four minutes, you know, just say what’s up and move on,” he said.
After the clip played, Goldberg explained that “an army official said appropriate action will be taken if the review shows violations of safety standards or other regulation.”
“And there’s the question of how much tax payer money was spent here?” she continued. “So is it right to question this? Is it something that we should just say, ‘Oh, it’s just Kid, let it go.’ Where are we here, you think?”
Cummings seized the moment to roast the rapper, prefacing that “the Apache helicopters are designed for war.”
“And I can think of no one who is at war more with himself than a white rapper who is 55 years old and calls himself Kid,” she quipped. “So I see why they thought it was an emergency.”
Photo: ABCBehar jumped in, “Why didn’t the helicopters make more noise so they could drown out the music?”
Cummings added, “Who doesn’t want to hear, ‘Bawitdaba da-ba da-ba’? They didn’t think it was music. They thought it was a drowning, screaming person.”
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
