The Chicago White Sox have been hard at work, trying to rebuild this franchise after falling short during their championship window. They recently parted ways with the last core member of that window, sending Luis Robert Jr. to the New York Mets for a fresh start.
Over the offseason, the front office was busy getting deals done with players they believe will help fill holes. They bolstered their bullpen by bringing in Seranthony Dominguez, Jordan Hicks, and Sean Newcomb, while bringing in starting pitchers Erick Fedde and Anthony Kay.
Outside of that, they brought in Luisangel Acuña as part of the Luis Robert Jr. trade and signed Austin Hays. However, their biggest splash came in the form of a two-year deal for Munestaka Murakami.

White Sox still a few pieces away from being a real threat in the AL Central
Last season, the club took a step in the right direction. They improved on their historically bad 41-121 record to winning 60 games in 2025.
And with what they did over the offseason, they should continue to improve on their win record from the previous season. However, it may not be as much as the fans hope.
Bleacher Report's Tim Kelly predicts the club will win more than 60 games this season, but it won't be a huge jump.
"Make no mistake, the White Sox are still a few years away. But where there wasn't anything to be excited about two seasons ago, you can start to see the makings of a core with Chase Meidroth, Colson Montgomery, Munetaka Murakami, Kyle Teel, and Shane Smith... There's still quite a bit of pitching development that needs to take place on the South Side, but there finally appears to be some light at the end of the tunnel for the Chi Sox."
Kelly predicts that the White Sox will finish with a 66-96 record, which is an improvement. But the club still needs to see some pitchers step up if they want to be a real threat.
