“Saturday Night Live” announced Thursday that “White Lotus” star Walton Goggins will host the sketch comedy show after it mocked his co-star Aimee Lou Wood.
The actor will make his debut on May 10, with Arcade Fire serving as the episode’s musical guest.
Goggins, 53, is the second-to-last host for the NBC series’s milestone 50th season, with actress Scarlett Johansson and rapper Bad Bunny set to appear on the May 17 finale.
The news comes after “SNL” poked fun at Wood’s teeth in a sketch she dubbed “unfunny.”
On April 12, the show aired a parody with comedian Sarah Sherman portraying the actress’s “White Lotus” character, Chelsea.
Sherman wore enlarged fake teeth to emphasize Wood’s overbite and exaggerated the English star’s accent, saying, “Fluoride? What’s that?”
The spoof did not sit well with Wood, 31, who took to Instagram to express her annoyance.
“I did find the ‘SNL’ thing mean and unfunny xo. (Felt righteous, might delete later),” she wrote on her Stories.
“Such a shame cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple of weeks ago.”

“Yes, take the piss for sure — that’s what the show is about- but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?” the “Sex Education” star continued.
Goggins, however, praised the sketch, calling it “smashing.”
The “Justified” star and Wood have been rumored to be feuding since the “White Lotus” Season 3 finale aired earlier this month.
The duo — who played love interests — notably do not follow each other on Instagram, and Goggins left Wood out of a tribute for the drama series.
Goggins and Wood, however, reportedly might reunite in the coming weeks for “something professional.”
CNN entertainment correspondent Elizabeth Wagmeister recently explained on the “Viall Files” podcast that the two will have to be in the same room, especially as they leap “into a giant Emmy campaign.”
