It is no secret that Arsenal are chasing Sporting CP's goal machine, Viktor Gyokeres. The Gunners are one of the many European clubs in the race to secure his signature this summer.
Arsenal desperately need a striker who can consistently score goals, as Mikel Arteta believes it is an area where they can drastically improve.
While Gyokeres fits the bill perfectly for the Gunners in their plans for the next season, there's no guarantee that he will end up at the Emirates Stadium. With plenty of suitors chasing the Swedish international, the Gunners should have enough alternatives on their radar.
Here are three strikers who will immediately elevate the Arsenal roster as they aim to challenge for the Premier League crown next season.
Hugo Ekitike (Eintract Frankfurt)
Hugo Ekitike may be a surprise addition to this list, but there's a reason Chelsea are interested in the Frankfurt star. The former PSG man led the Bundesliga outfit with aplomb, especially after the departure of Omar Marmoush midseason.
The Frenchman has hammered 22 goals and provided 12 assists this season in 48 matches across competitions. He is a striker who can score and facilitate chances and would add great flexibility to Arteta's system.

As per Squawka, he leads the Bundesliga 2024/25 season in touches in the opposition box. He has had 206 touches in total in the competition.
As per reports via Sky Sport Germany's Florian Plettenberg, Frankfur are rigid in their stance as tey want €100 million for Ekitike or else he stays. The Frenchman reportedly wants to leave with Chelsea and other clubs strongly linked.
Benjamin Sesko (RB Leipzig)
Another Bundesliga striker, but Arsenal hold Benjamin Sesko in very high regard. He is ideally their primary alternative if they fail to land Gyokeres.
The Gunners were interested in signing him last season, but Sesko decided to stay at Leipzig.

However, Arsenal continue to remain interested in the lanky Slovenian. But his release clause has soared over €80 million due to performance-related clauses in his contract. He has scored 21 goals this season in all competitions, with 13 goals coming in the Bundesliga.
But with Leipzig failing to qualify for the Champions League next season, Sesko may leave the club this summer.
Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)
Although it is slightly unlikely, Arsenal may revert to their old target, Ollie Watkins. The Gunners already saw their £40 million bid get rejected this January. But with less time left on his contract they may trying luring the Aston Villa marksman to North London.
While the England international has failed to replicate his 2023/24 season this time, he has still scored 17 goals in 53 appearances across all competitions, with 16 goals coming in the Premier League, along with eight assists.
He has played fewer minutes this season courtesy of Jhon Duran and loanee Marcus Rashford's presence at the club.
Overall, he can be a proven option for Arteta and wouldn't require an astronomical fee like the other strikers listed here.
