Now You See Me: Now You Don't is the third chapter in the Now You See Me trilogy. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer and penned by Michael Lesslie, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese, and Seth Grahame-Smith, with a story idea from Eric Warren Singer and Lesslie.

It features the continuation of the magic-illusion-heist narrative that initially came out in 2013, and to which the majority of the cast characters have remained faithful, but new characters have been added to the squad.

The movie is produced by Lionsgate and is planned to be released in the United States on November 14th, 2025.

It was planned to be widely shot in different parts of the world. The production officially started in July 2024 and wrapped up in November 2024.

The film was shot in different cities in Europe and the Middle East, where a combination of real locations and sets was utilized. The film’s cinematography was done by George Richmond, while Brian Tyler was back to score the film, continuing his work from the previous two series instalments with the same characters.

The production of the movie was mainly done in three cities: Budapest (Hungary), Antwerp (Belgium), and Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates).

Each place was selected to form the specific parts of the script of the movie revolving around the Four Horsemen’s latest world heist.

Budapest, Hungary, was the main shooting location for the film. The production in the Hungarian capital got underway in July 2024, with the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) being one of the filming locations.

The filming crew used some parts of the university and the nearby city area for the indoor and outdoor shots. Budapest’s mix of ancient and modern buildings allowed the filmmakers to recreate different city environments without the need for extensive set building.

There was additional filming in Antwerp, Belgium, where the production took place from August 28 to September 1, 2024. Antwerp became the background for the outdoor sequences of the main actors. The city’s unique structures and open areas were used to represent a European location at the center of the film’s heist plot.

A considerable amount of Now You See Me: Now You Don't was filmed in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where the Lionsgate company declared the Emirati capital one of the major filming locations according to a report by Deadline published on April 24, 2025.

Over the 13 days, the production filmed across the major landmarks. The locations were Yas Island, home of Ferrari World, CLYMB Abu Dhabi, and Yas Marina Circuit, besides the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed Bridge, and the Liwa Desert.

The Liwa Desert had previously been featured in major productions such as Dune and was chosen because of its open landscapes.

The Deadline report also stated that the Abu Dhabi Film Commission revealed that the production was eligible for filming rebates and logistical support for large-scale shooting.

The locations in the city were used to film several scenes related to the film’s storyline that took place in different parts of the world.
