Two rivals will face off at the 2026 Winter Olympics when the U.S. women's hockey team meets Canada on Tuesday.
Team USA has been rolling through its opponents in the group stage, scoring five goals in each of its first three games. The Americans are sitting atop the Group A standings with a 3-0 record and an overall goal differential of plus-14.
Team Canada won its first two games of preliminary play after its opener was canceled because a norovirus outbreak hit the Finnish squad. The big question heading into this contest is whether Marie-Philip Poulin will be available. The Canadian captain suffered an injury against Czechia in the first period and never returned.
