High school softball teams across the state of Texas will spend this weekend fighting for a spot in the state championships.
The Texas high school softball playoffs will continue this week with state semifinal matchups. Games are scheduled to be played on Thursday, Friday and Saturday across the 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A and 6A brackets.
This year is the first time the aforementioned classes are split into two divisions, meaning two state champions will be crowned in each class. The semifinal round follows a best-of-3 series format, with the first school to two wins advancing to the championship round.

The Texas high school softball playoffs will not air on national TV channels. Viewers can stream games on the NFHS Network.
