Western Conference heavyweights headline a loaded slate of opening day fixtures in the NBA. You won't have to rack your head too much to recall the last time they locked horns.
The Spurs and Thunder will rekindle their rivalry on Tuesday, five months after they took part in a memorable seven-game set in the Western Conference Finals.
San Antonio was the brighter of the two sides in their last meeting, downing Oklahoma City, 111-103 in Game 7 to punch a ticket to the NBA Finals. The Spurs weren't able to finish the job off in the next round. Still, they look well-equipped to surge to the top of the Western Conference standings in 2026-27.
The Thunder will feel similarly. Jalen Williams' injury left Oklahoma City without one of its best players for much of the postseason. With him back in the fold — and youngsters like Aday Mara, Thomas Sorber and Bennett Stirtz all tipped for sizable roles — the immediate future looks bright for Mark Daignault's side.
Here's what you need to know about Tuesday's matchup between the Spurs and Thunder, including broadcast information and start time.
