The 2026 NCAA women's lacrosse tournament has been quite the spectacle, but now only four teams remain in the fight for a title.

To no surprise, the bracket's top four seeded programs have all qualified for the semifinal round — No. 1 Northwestern, No. 2 North Carolina, No. 3 Maryland and No. 4 Johns Hopkins. The Wildcats, Tar Heels and Terrapins each received a first-round bye, while the Blue Jays worked their way in from the first round.

Each of these programs has history in this tournament, but only three have ever won a national title. The Tar Heels are the reigning champs and defeated Northwestern for the trophy in 2025, while Maryland boasts a record 14 titles, the most recent in 2019. This year marks Johns Hopkins' first time ever advancing to the semifinals.

Who will keep their season alive and play for the championship?
