It's not often the postseason plays out as expected, but that's exactly what has happened in the ECHL this season.

The Kansas City Mavericks and Florida Everblades have been the most dominant teams throughout the 2026 regular season and playoffs and now they will face off for the Kelly Cup.

The Mavericks comfortably topped the 2025-26 league standings with 115 but the Everblades were second at 108. They took down the third- and fourth-best regular season teams (Fort Wayne and Wheeling, respectively) in the conference finals and are set for what should be an epic showdown with the trophy on the line.

Both teams present a balanced attack offensively, so it might come down to goaltending. While K.C. has used a pair of netminders in the playoffs, with Dylan Wells and Jack LaFontaine splitting starts, Florida's two-time playoffs MVP Cam Johnson has been dominant once again with a 1.35 goals-against average in 14 postseason games.

Can Johnson and the Everblades hoist the Kelly Cup again after winning three in a row from 2022-24, or will the Mavericks take their first ECHL title in this rematch of the 2024 finals?

Here's all you need to know to tune in to every game.
