The fight was meant to be an easy win at home for Munguia, looking to gain momentum after losing against Canelo to start the year. Instead, the former super welterweight champion was the victim of the French fighter's fifth win via the power punch.
Leaving former coach Erik Morales to work with Canelo's trainer Eddy Reynoso, Munguia is determined to ensure lighting doesn't strike twice.
